Aug 01 Mon    Medieval Yorkshire Day 7-9pm, Crooked Billet Inn, Wakefield Road, Saxton LS24 9QN.

                        Family fun includes sword & gun display, living history, Yorkshire Vikings, guided walks.

Aug 06 Sat      Drink and a boogie at The Wardrobe meet William from 8.30pm ending up in Milo's by 11.30pm

                        To discuss topical issues from TV/radio/media, and to read/discuss the newspapers over coffee or

2nd/3rd Sept - Paul & Anne's Wedding WEEKEND in a Leeds Hotel. IVC members invited to the free parties:-

Sep 02 - Friday night entertainment 9pm-1am from pop/rock covers band FOG.

Sep 03 - Saturday night disco 9pm-1am with DJ John, plus it's Paul's birthday party!

Admission by advance ticket only. Please book your free tickets by 10th July to guarantee your place.

Feb 09 Thu      Opera Group - Norma by Bellini (1831) set in Gaul under Roman occupation, Druids & Romans

    7pm             quarrel in love & war. These arias were favourites of Maria Callas. Sung in Italian, English titles.

 

Feb 16 Thu      Opera Group - Giulio Cesare by Handel (1724). The Romans in Egypt : murders, battles, plots,

    7pm             counter-plots ensue before Caesar & Cleopatra triumph in love & war (sung in Italian, English titles)

 

Mar 16-18th    North Yorkshire Moors Weekend returning to Lockton in a YHA Green Beacon hostel with

                        rainwater harvesting & live sedum roof. The hamlet of Lockton is close to the North York Moors Railway

                         Weekends Away

 

June 20 Thu    Opera Group - Die Walkurie by Wagner, 2nd part of the Ring Cycle (follows Das Rheingold in

    5pm-10.30  June). Semi-staged performance at the Town Hall. (sung in German, English titles)   

                    

July 6-9th         North Yorkshire Coast Weekend at the seaside in ROBIN HOODS BAY staying in The Old

                        School House which is situated in the heart of the lower part of this ancient fishing village so is
